Bovine Foot and Mouth Disease Virus A Antibody (B.FMDV-A) Test Virus A Ab Test Easy To Use
Application:
The Bovine Foot and Mouth Disease Virus Anti-A Antibody (B.FMDV-A Ab) Rapid Test Cassette (Serum/Plasma) is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of serotype-A FMDV antibodies in cattle’s serum, plasma. It’s for the monitoring of FMDV-A antibody level and providing an important reference for the vaccination plan.

Description:
The FMDV-A Antibody Rapid Test Cassette (Serum/Plasma) is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The Test Cassette has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample well on the cassette, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated FMDV-A antigens. If there are anti-A FMDV antibodies in the specimen, a visible T line will appears. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result.
How to use:
1. Collect cattle’s fresh whole blood, and separate serum or plasma from blood as soon as possible to avoid hemolysis. Only use clear, non-hemolyzed specimens. Do not leave the specimens at room temperature for prolonged periods. Serum and plasma specimens may be stored at 2-8 °C for up to 3 days. For long term storage, specimens should be kept below -20 °C.
2. Move the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. Best results will be obtained if the assay is performed within one hour.
3. Place the test cassette on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of sample (approximately 25 μl) and immediately add 2 drops of assay buffer (approximately 40 μl) into the specimen well (S) of the test cassette, then start the timer. See illustration below.
4. Read the results in 5-10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.
